Many people are looking for a simple business they can run from home. Starting an Internet business is the perfect way of doing this. It’s relatively low cost to get started, and it can be done at times to suit you.

I had a conversation this week with somebody who’s been sold a dream website but been delivered a nightmare of unfinished features and drifting timescales. 

If you find yourself in a position where you’re unhappy with your current website supplier, here’s our ten point checklist of what you need to do:

Turns out that not only are they writing rubbish, their website is a virus carrier too.  So please don’t go there.

Try doing a Google search for ‘SEO’ (Search Engine Optimisation) – you’ll be inundated with results. 

The quest to be number one on Google has become the quest for everybody with a website.

But its only a part of the story.  Getting found is just one small step on the way to making a sale. 

And found for what anyway?  Unless the search term you’re being found for directly leads visitors to buy, what’s the point?

Did you know? Website optimisation isn’t just about getting to number one in Google.  Website optimisation is about three things:

• Getting visitors
• Getting them to read
• Getting them to buy
